We had the honor of shooting Kimberly and Stephen’s destination wedding in San Francisco last weekend and it was breathtaking... visually and literally! Visually breathtaking because you simply couldn’t beat their venue: the fabulous Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel, which towers over Nob Hill and looks down over the entire city. Literally breathtaking because we’ve never worked so physically hard on a shoot (who had the brilliant idea of building San Francisco on a mountain range anyway? Nob Hill is like Mt. Hood!)
The wedding ceremony was held in the beautiful Old St. Mary’s cathedral, and was followed immediately with an hour-long trolley tour of the city as a treat for the entire wedding party and all guests. The reception had an old-time San Francisco feel and was held at the historic Top of the Mark, rated by Forbes magazine as one of the World’s Top 26 Bars, and offering the most amazing panoramic sunset views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the TransAmerica tower, and Fisherman’s Wharf that you can imagine. Portland-based photographers Holland Studios and ourselves were loving it! The smooth, classy sounds of a live band kept the dance floor moving as the guests were treated to a wonderful dinner, drinks and dancing. What a treat to be a part of another wedding in this family (click here for a peek at big sister Candice’s wedding video) and congratulations again to Kimberly and Stephen!!
